V & W Construct bvba (referred to below as “CONSTRUCTION COMPANY” or “we”) takes your data processing rights seriously. In this document V & W Construct explains how it collects, processes and uses your personal data. It therefore constitutes the general data processing policy of V & W Construct.

V & W Construct collects and processes data about you when you as a customer call upon us for work (new construction, renovation, etc.) , when you subscribe to our newsletter or when you contact us in any other way. We summarise these activities under the term “customer management” that concerns the completion of the projects we enter into with you.
If you are a supplier, we process your data or the data of your contact persons in the context of the supply of products or services for the generic purpose of “supplier administration”. In this case we may also include your data in our work planning, together with the details of our own employees.
We also process your data as a customer or as a supplier when drawing up invoices and other accounting documents. This is for “accounting” purposes.
In some cases we process your data as a prospect, i.e. a person who is not yet in contact with us or who has not concluded a contract with us, also with the aim of presenting our services to you (direct marketing).
Finally, we may process data on you because it is or may be important for our activities, for example to be able to call upon your advice or services. We describe these activities as “communication” or “public relations”.
This concerns the data you communicate to us and which we need to carry out the project for which you call upon us such as your name, address, e-mail address and professional data such as company name and VAT number, the data on your family composition and all other data related to this. You usually provide us with this data directly, but it is also possible that we obtain it from your architect or other parties with whom you work.
The data may also relate to your interests in, or plans for a future project.
We may process certain data on suppliers to enable us to plan the work well. This concerns availability and presence, as well as the type of work.
We process financial data for accounting purposes.
Data on your position and activities are processed for the purposes of communication or public relations.
We collect your data when you fill in (paper or electronic) forms for this purpose. Sometimes this happens through a conversation, telephone contact or email exchange.
We usually obtain this data directly from you. Sometimes we may also obtain the data indirectly. This is the case for data on employees of suppliers who are working on our sites and which we obtain from the suppliers themselves.
We may also obtain your data from third parties with direct marketing. We will then inform you from where we have obtained your data.
When you visit our website we use cookies. You can find more information about this in our cookie policy. We do this particularly in order to tailor the website content to your needs as a user to the extent possible, and to make the website easy to use. We also process your data to fulfil the obligations arising from the provision of a website and its content, and to enable you to use the interactive applications and services on this website.
In principle we collect and process your data on the basis of the contractual relationship we have with you as a result of your order and the contract we conclude with you. This is also the basis for processing data on suppliers and for processing ‘accounts’.
Where processing is not necessary to carry out a contractual relationship, such as in the case of direct marketing and communication/public relations, it is based on our legitimate interests as a company, in particular freedom of enterprise and information. In doing so we always ensure that there is a balance between our interests and yours, for example by granting you a right of objection.
Your data will mainly be processed internally for the purposes of customer management, supplier management, work planning, accounting and communication/public relations by the department/party responsible for these activities.
Data may be passed on to processors we use for certain punctual services or assignments, albeit always under our control.
Sometimes we are obliged to disclose your data. This is particularly the case if we are required to do so by law or if public authorities that are entitled to do so request data from us. In this case we will check whether the conditions for requesting data have been fulfilled.
In principle your data are not disclosed to third countries or international organisations.
This could possibly be the case in the context of cloud service contracts that we conclude. Then your data may be stored on servers in third countries to which in principle only we have access. In that case we will ensure that the provider of these services is established in a third country with an adequate level of protection or that an agreement is concluded with that provider to protect your rights.
You may at any time view the data that we process on you and, if necessary, have them corrected or deleted. To do this it is sufficient to send a request to V & W Construct bvba, Christoffel Plantijnstraat 5, 3920 Lommel or at info@vwconstruct.be with proof of your identity. We ask this in order to prevent your data from being disclosed to anyone who is not entitled to the data.
If we process your data for the purposes of direct marketing, you may object to this at any time. All you have to do in this case is contact V & W Construct on 011/54 68 94 or mail info@vwconstruct.be.
You can always submit a complaint to the Data Protection Authority, (www.privacycommission.be) Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels if you do not agree with how V & W Construct bvba processes your data.
V & W Construct reserves the right to change this declaration and/or this policy. Users will be notified of changes on the website.
